From La France et Ses Colonies, Atlas Illustre. By MM. Vuillemin, L. Thuiller and Ch. Lacoste, under the direction of famous French mapmaker J. Migeon. Publisher J. Genouillac, Paris, 1886. The Vuillemin maps are famous from the period for their quality hand-coloring, extensive depiction of each province of france, attractive vingettes and engravings that accompany the maps, as well as the different fonts used for each province. France’s response to the Johnson and Mitchell maps of the mid-19th century.

Condition very good+ to fine. Strong strike, and good hand coloring.
